Acid House Kings - Are We Lovers Or Are We Friends?

This is another upbeat, carefree song from 2010 that manages to sound both from another decade and so appropriate this year. I think its the tambourines and the sixties drum beat that does it. Its so happy and poppy that you have this sneaking suspicion that its Scandinavian - because they like their slightly cheesy synths and musically they’re just a bit different there - and you would be right, they’re Swedes and they’ve been making twee indie pop for almost twenty years now. Probably more of a song for the summer, but also not out of place on a cold winter’s morning.
