Warpaint - Undertow

So now it’s 2011 and I’m thinking that I should have given Warpaint a little more time in 2010. It’s an all girl four-piece that really rocks, and that, unfortunately is all too rare, despite 2010 being a great year for the female voice. Warpaint are so smooth, and so laid back, a little like The xx but with better vocals - the layered, reverb effect is great - and with more melodies intertwining. But just when you think it’s stripped down, and a little bare, it all comes together into something a little heavier, and equally as pure.
