Oh Land - The Wolf And I

It’s not dance, because its not fast enough, and it’s not hard hitting enough. It’s not chillout because it’s too dark. I guess it’s something in between, but calling it something like electropop doesn’t really seem to do it justice. The beat itself is simple: it’s the voice that really makes the song. The Danish singer layers it so that it controls the song, going from a slow Adele-like ballad at the beginning to some much more Karin Dreijer Anderssen-like (The Knife/Fever Ray) towards the end. A beautiful transition through quite a soulful song.
Sounds A Little Bit Like: Karin Dreijer Anderssen, although comparisons can at times bear little fruit.
