Air France - No Excuses
I picked up this little number from 2N quite a few months ago now, but ever since then it’s been a pretty regular feature in my eardrums. It’s smooth and soft and effortlessly catchy, every sound is almost as cheesy as the next but all put together its a breezy, dreamy four minutes of glorious alt-pop. Every melody is tailor made for glory, timed to perfection and never over-used. Add that to the quasi-motivational lyrics and the old people chattering in French and you’ve got an inch-perfect masterpiece from the Swedish Balearic pop composers. Take all this and consider an epic 4am dance-off to this song at a house party a couple of months ago, and you can hopefully start to see why it’s one of my current favourites?
